From ReFi to Regenera: My Journey in the Symphony of Regeneration 🌿

Beloved ReFi nation,

After 18 months of profound transformation, I am emerging from the ashes with something new to share. Many of you know me from my work with ReFi DAO and Toucan Protocol. Today, I want to reintroduce myself as John Dass—the voice crying out in the wilderness...

It is with this new voice, that I come to announce the launch of my new show Regenera: Wisdom for the Planetary Age, a podcast born at the intersection of indigenous wisdom, modern science, and emerging technology. This isn't just another podcast—it's the fruit of a deep inner journey through death and rebirth, through ceremony and technology, through pain and transformation.

I am out of the studio, out of the home and into the wild—recording content at festivals, in villages and in indigenous communities.

Why Regenera?

While stepping back from Source stewardship at ReFi DAO (thank you ser Monty Merlin 🙏), I have been sitting with indigenous elders in sacred ceremonies, processing intergenerational trauma, and exploring how open technology can serve humanity's highest ideals. Through this journey, I've discovered that the bridge between web3 and true planetary regeneration lies in the integration of ancient wisdom with emerging innovation.

Let me say this another way indigenous wisdom is the KEY to unlock the power of web3. 🗝️

The vast treasure trove of intelligence locked away in the biodiversity hotspots of the world, sitting with indigenous elders and their communities—this is the key to everything that we aspire to achieve in ReFi.

For those of you who cannot join us for the in-person retreat or gathering in Portugal, we have setup a live stream on Nov 2 from 16.00 to 21.00, Lisbon. Please do join us from a quiet space with reverence. We will be hosting Palestinians, Israelis, Ukranians, Russians—Muslims, Christians, Jews, and people of agnostic and atheist worldviews. It will be a powerful experience and a sneak peek into The Pilgrimage, a 64-day cycle journey from Stonehenge to Giza in Spring 2025.

Technology, Consciousness & Regeneration 🕸️

I still deeply believe that open technology—whether web3 or truly open AI—holds the keys to a regenerative future. But this kind of technology alone isn't enough. We need to weave it together with indigenous wisdom, community practice, and expanded consciousness.

This—is—technology.

Consciousness is the most powerful technology in all of existence. Indigenous communities understand this better than anyone else. We need to learn from them and align ourselves with the loving awareness that permeates all things. When we build systems from this place—THIS—is how we create symbiosis. It is not only a state of being, but a state of doing that accepts our true nature as a part of this vast tapestry of life.
